We were so excited to find a restaurant in Bakewell that was able to cater to us!
As per our standard practice, we contacted the restaurant prior to booking to check their procedures when catering to someone with coeliac disease. The response we received was very thorough, confirming that they use separate surfaces, utensils and fryers when preparing gluten free food, to avoid cross contamination.
They do use the same oven for both gluten containing and gluten free pizzas, but they would ensure that gluten and gluten free were not in the oven at the same time and that gluten free would be put on a tray to help avoid cross contamination - we were fine with this, but please use your own judgement 🙂
When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated quickly and our dietary requirements reconfirmed. A chef/manager also visited us to reassure us of their cooking procedures.
All of the food was amazing and our favourite order was their HUGE sharing platter of nachos! We loved this place so much, that we returned the very next day for round 2! 🐷🤣
Flossie.
I was very excited to be allowed into this restaurant for dinner! The staff let me pick a biscuit from their tin and brought me a bowl of water. After putting on a strong performance of 'puppy dog eyes' I was even treated to a nacho or two! 😋
