Directions of walk

Directions for this walk are relatively easy. Although the walk it's self is on rough and boggy terrain, as well as crossing the river.

  1. Facing 180 degrees away from the road follow the pathway straight ahead of you.
  2. Follow the pathway up over rough terrain, this will be on the right of the river for almost a kilometre
  3. At this point cross the river and head in a westerly direction up the hill.
  4. Continue up until you reach Llyn Y Fan Fawr.
  5. At this point you can walk around the lake.
  6. Head back down the same direction you came up, you will eventually see the car park and know what direction to head in.

Ady & Meg.

Llyn Y Fan Fawr is a beautiful lake, accessed only on foot. We did this as a there and back walk, but there are many other routes available. The route is pretty much just a straight line over the boggy moorland until you find the lake.

Once at Llyn Y Fan Fawr it was a perfect place to sit and have a picnic and soak in the views. We then walked around the lake and started the decent back to the car park.

On the way down we accidentally went a little off route, but it wasn't long until the carpark was in sight to get our bearings

Flossie.

All the water! So much fun 😁

I saw some pesky sheep on route 🐑 Grrrr 🐕‍🦺

I loved playing in the river but my favourite was the lake at the top. Although the water was cold I was allowed to have a little dip and play.

I really enjoyed this walk.

Wooooof 🐶
