Where to park

Free public carpark:

This does however fill up quickly, so we had to pay to park in a farmers yard up the road (there is also paid-for field parking).

This is a great walk with amazing views right from the start. We arrived at 11am on a Saturday and the carpark was already full. Luckily we were able to park in a farmer's yard for £5 and this came with the added bonus of toilets!

Despite the busy car park, we didn't see many other people on our walk, bar at Three Shires Head (where the counties of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire meet at a waterfall) - which is understandably a bit of a tourist trap!

Flossie.

I enjoyed paddling in the river although it was very busy there.
