Ady & Meg.
Stourhead is one of Meg's favourite National Trust properties - that iconic oil painting-like view is simply stunning.
Because of this, our expectations for their Christmas lights were high - perhaps that was the problem...?
Don't get us wrong, the lights were lovely - simple but effective. But we found that due to the lights being lumped together with patches of 'nothing' in between, these areas would bottle-neck and were extremely busy.
When we reached the end of the trail, we couldn't help but think "was that it...?" We recommend that you aim to visit this place on a quieter night (maybe a week night less close to Christmas?)... or stick to a daytime visit...
Flossie.
I was not invited on this adventure ☹
