Being non-materialistic, we tend to go away for our Birthdays... so it was only fair that we did the same for Flossie's Birthday, right? 🤪
Day 1
Following some early morning present opening (Flossie is a tiny bit more materialistic than us 🤪) we headed to our first stop - Cotswold Wildlife Park.
It was then just over a 1 hour drive to our Airbnb, where we spent a couple of hours relaxing before our evening activities.
The Airbnb was equipped enough for us to prepare meals, but we decided to eat out as it isn't often that we actually get the option to! It was a 30 minute drive from the Airbnb to the restaurant.
Following a nice meal at the restaurant, it was then a 15 minute drive to Welford Park to visit the Spectacle of Light.
Following the light show, we were very tired from a busy day of exploring. Luckily it was only a 20 minute drive back to the Airbnb to get a good night's sleep in preparation for Day 2.
Day 2
On Day 2 we left the Airbnb at 9am-ish to head down to our next destination - Dorset. This was around a 2 hour drive in total, so we decided to split it up with a walk somewhat half way. Melbury Beacon was a great place to stretch our legs and have a break from driving.
After our walk at Melbury Beacon, it was around a 50 minute drive to our next walk - Tyneham
Day 3
On our final day we were up and out as soon as it was light with one soul purpose - to see Durdle Door not rammed with people!
Overall this was a brilliant road trip and has made us think differently about how we can continue our adventures in the future...
