Ady & Meg.
Going inside The Panthéon is a great free activity for whilst in Paris. We would however recommend paying to access the Panoramic View, not only because the view is beautiful, but also because it allows you to skip the queue into the Panthéon itself.
Inside the Panthéon you are struck instantly by it's art and architecture. In the centre dome is a 220ft pendulum indicating the rotation of the earth. This was built in 1851 by physicist Léon Foucault.
Also in the Panthéon there is access to the crypts. Being buried here is only allowed if you are deemed by parliament as a 'National Hero'. Marie Curie was the first woman buried here based on merit alone.
Flossie.
I was not invited on this adventure ☹
