We were very excited to try this restaurant following reading so many excellent reviews. Unfortunately this place did not live up to these expectations. Don't get us wrong, the food wasn't bad (and most importantly - safe), we just couldn't see what all the hype was about...
Our gluten free mushroom tortellini and pesto tagliatelle were ok (and in fairness, gluten free filled pasta did seem rare in Venice), and this was the only restaurant in Venice that gave us (packaged) gluten free bread. But the waiter seemed very confused when we asked about the gluten free profiteroles mentioned in so many reviews.
We found the service to not be quite as attentive as in other restaurants, but they did seem to hand out a fair few freebies (most of which we couldn't have due to them containing gluten and/or meat) - perhaps this is why there were so many great reviews...?
Overall, we can't help but feel that there are better restaurants for you to try in Venice. But obviously as always, please use your own judgement - this is a restaurant which contains gluten and we completely appreciate that it's often the staff member that you deal with who makes the experience.
