Ady & Meg.
Rome is amazing for Coeliacs, we promise you will certainly not go hungry in this city!
That said, some places stood out more than others for the right reasons, and this AIC accredited restaurant was one of them!
AIC are the Italian Coeliac Society, and if a restaurant is accredited by them you can feel pretty confident that they treat Coeliacs well.
As soon as the waiter knew we were Coeliac, they gave us cutlery, glasses and placemats, so that any member of staff dealing with us could easily see that we were Coeliac. The staff gave us such confidence and the food was delicious - even though this was a pizzeria, Meg opted for gluten free lasagne - just because she could! 😋
Obviously as always, please use your own judgement - this is a restaurant which contains gluten and we completely appreciate that it's often the staff member that you deal with who makes the experience. On this occasion, we were very satisfied customers.
Flossie.
I was not invited on this adventure ☹
