Jardin Du Luxembourg

Ady & Meg.

These fantastically sculpted gardens are perfectly placed for a relaxing walk back from the catacombs.

There are also plenty of places to sit and take in the relaxing atmosphere on a busy day.

Moulin Rouge

Ady & Meg.

Although we didn't have tickets for the actual show (they can be quite pricey!) we still enjoyed going to see this famous theatre.

We hope to one day experience the show itself, but for a freebie, seeing the buildings and walking around the official shop was still great fun.

Notre Dame

Ady & Meg.

When we visited, Notre Dame was still under restoration after the 2019 fire that devastated this 14th century building.

Unfortunately this meant that we couldn't go inside to see the cathedral in all of its glory. That said, merely walking around the outside and taking-in all of the construction and remaining architecture was definitely still worth it.

Statue of Liberty

Ady & Meg.

That's right, there is a Statue of Liberty in Paris!

Given to Paris as a thank you for the Statue of Liberty given to The USA in 1889, it was gifted to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution.

It's located on it's own island in the Seine. There are some great views from the bridge and a great walk to and from it.

Wall of I Love You

Ady & Meg.

This beautiful artwork was created in 2000. The wall includes the words 'I love you' in all major languages, but also in rarer ones like NavajoInuitBambara and Esperanto.

The wall is open to the public free of charge, although when we went it was very busy.

Fotoautomat

Ady & Meg.

We were very excited to find an old-style photo booth in Paris!

There are several of these dotted around Paris, this one just happened to be on our route.

There was a small queue to use it and it only accepts certain coins. It was a great small activity and left us with a small memento from our final day in Paris.

Buste de Dalida

Ady & Meg.

This Buste is dedicated to the Italian-French singer/actor.

It was put in place in 1996 with 3 trees planted near by.

Rue de L'Abreuvoir

Ady & Meg.

This is the oldest and one of the most beautiful streets in Paris.

It has a few beautiful buildings along it and a gorgeous view from the top.

Cimetière de Montmartre

Ady & Meg.

This is the third biggest necropolis in Paris. This cemetery has some beautiful tombstones & crypts.

This is also the final resting place of Dalida (the Buste mentioned above)

It is quite easy to spend an hour or so walking around and taking-in the tombs.
